Weston Germain
BASEBALL DEVELOPMENT
Weston serves as the Director of Pitching at MASH Baseball, bringing seven seasons of collegiate coaching experience, including six as the pitching coach at Hamline University where his 2022 staff set a school record for shutouts and ranked fourth nationally. He is the founder of Mill City Throwing and in 2020, he co-authored the paper A Data Driven Interval Throwing Program: Using Torque and Acute-to-Chronic Workload Ratios to Create a Throwing Framework for Baseball and Softball Players Returning from Upper Extremity Injuries, which improved upon the standard throwing program used during rehab. His work on that project—and his knowledge of workload management–led him to oversee the throwing programs of professionals around the world. A former middle school and high school teacher, Weston holds a B.S. in Secondary Education with focuses in Social Studies and Physical Education, and continues to blend his teaching background with an athlete-centered coaching philosophy.
